Sooooo Charming!!

Here's the story.

My name is Shawnell Williams and I have been making Honey Pie Jewels since 2003. And here's the rest of the story...

For as long as I can remember I have always had a love for paper, markers, paint, photos, doodling, handwriting, and thanks to my sister Patti, drawing. I have had a lot of inspiration from my family. They have always believed in me because I was always so passionate about the things I loved. And I know what I like because I like it, not because someone else does.

Well, my journey took off when I prayed that God would take my talents and abilities that He had given me and show me how best to use them. I had a vision of a piece of jewelry like I had never seen before. I prayed that God would show me how to make the jewelry and HE did!

Visions of charms danced in my head. Ideas abound all the day long (and night too). A word here, a crown on a head there. Glitter, glue, paper, and pictures filled the room (lets be honest....filled my house!). And then..... my first piece was finished in 2003.

I have a passion for making art. I love finding new techniques and uses for just about anything.

My favorite things to use in my art....

charcoal, watercolors, old books, glitter and antiquing techniques.
